Sacred Heart: my heart expansion experience in Egypt

ree

He followed me through out Cairo. Heart beating from his chest. He was painted on a wall at a shop within Trash City. The love permeated alongside the putrid smell, beyond the mounds of trash, people living and working in it. Not the reality of poverty, nor the beauty of Coptic churches, could stop the love radiating from the heart. Unconditional love has no division between beauty and filth. Intertwined with a heart beat. So, began my journey.

Through the heart we connect to our divinity, our full potential, the Universe.

My journey to heart awareness came to fruition in Egypt. In my travels through Cairo, I kept seeing pictures of Jesus which showed his sacred heart. On one such day, my driver took me to Manshiyat Naser- Trash City. A place where beautiful Coptic Churches had been built into the solid rock of a mountain. The Christians had been ostracized at one time and found refuge in collecting and sorting trash for money. In this space of over 70,000 people, I saw the most profound picture of Jesus with a sacred heart on the wall. It rose above the stench of the trash and my amazement that all these people lived in the midst of the rubbish.

My spiritual journey had brought me closer to Jesus, Mary, Mary Magdalene and Joseph. However, my harsh Catholic upbringing had left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, as to how some viewed Jesus and how power and control, looking to others to decide ones fate had somehow become intertwined. I saw Jesus and knew him as a teacher, one who wanted to help others to help themselves.

When I arrived in Luxor and started to go to the temples, I was astounded that when I put my third eye on an ankh, which had been etched onto the wall in a temple, I would download ancient knowing’s and what had gone on in ancient Egypt. Things that were Universal truths- things that also went beyond ancient Egypt. It was on my visit to the temple where the oldest known Flower of Life is etched- next to Abydos, that I realized that the healing done back in ancient Egypt- even the mystical use of the Flower of Life had been used for what we in this 3D reality would classify as good and bad.

It was just after this, that I visited a small Isis temple in Luxor that not many visit called Deir el-Shelwit. Upon entering the small temple, my guide paid the caretaker money, so that I could sit on the floor and meditate. As I did so, I felt an overwhelming feeling of love. I felt and saw a pink mist all around me. I was crying tears of release and happiness.

At this point my guide and the temple caretaker asked if I would like to go up onto the roof of the temple. I follow them up a dark stairwell. Hunched over with our flashlights, we cautiously walked up the small and narrow space.

The sky was bright as I walked onto the rooftop, blinding almost. I sat on the roof ledge and my guide touched my 3rd eye. I shut my eyes and felt the Universe going into me, and me going out to the Universe. The flow went through my heart of All That Is and I felt All That Is. A profound feeling of being one with all permeated every cell of my being.

As I left this temple, I realized that through the heart we connect to All that Is. Healing, connection done through the heart is light- unity consciousness.

Since that day all of my light work has been through my heart. Interestingly, I later realized that the Usui Reiki teachings speak of the heart as well, though in my studies and others that I’ve spoken to, the symbols, not the heart connection is what is generally focused on.

Opening our hearts brings us to our highest calling, happiest space of being. We see things from a Universal perspective and can live as our divine selves. So within, so without... through your beautiful heart space. :)
